- Does your ministry follow or endorse certain beliefs of a particular denomination

No, we do not follow a particular denomination as a ministry. Jubilee Missions is an interdenominational ministry, therefore, members of Jubilee Missions come from different churches and backgrounds. Please read the “Statement of Faith” at www.jubileemissions.org to learn more information on the basic beliefs of the organization as a whole.

Jubilee Missions does not focus on teaching theology or teaching the members what to believe (which is something they will learn from their own church), but we focus on uniting musicians and artists from the whole body of Christ to work towards one main goal: to share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all and to bring unity among believers – through music and the arts.

- Is this a paid position?

Jubilee Missions is a non-profit organization. Jubilee Missions members and leaders are not paid,
but rather sent out as local “missionaries” in the city.

Like other short-term missionaries, each Jubilee Missions member is responsible for raising sponsorship for their specific position in the ministry. Each member of Jubilee is required to raise a monthly support of $50 during their membership, which helps the ministry meet its ongoing expenses (basic operational costs.) Team leaders are not required to raise support of $50 however, they are encouraged to donate to support their ministry.

- Is there a membership fee to be a member? Why?

Yes, there is a membership fee for Jubilee Missions members. Whether you are a student member of the BREATHE Academy for practical music lessons, a solo violinist in a Jubilee Orchestra ensemble, a lead guitarist of a BREATHE rock band, or a dancer in the hip hop dance team, there is the same simple membership fee of $50.

We ask for the member to help raise $50 per month to help support the ministry’s basic operational costs and other ongoing expenses. Finance is a reality that we have to face and therefore hope that each member of the ministry will consider it a blessing to be able to help maintain and grow their ministry!!

- What if I am unable to pay the membership fee but I really want to be a part of the ministry?

Money should be the last thing on earth that should prevent us from taking part in God’s works. However, finances is something that we need to keep up God's work and expand it. Jubilee Missions has a team that will help you raise the fee that you need and we have good resources to help you gather your membership fee.

Jubilee Missions developed a Sponsorship Helsp Manual that gives dozens of ideas that former Jubilee Missions members have used. God will surely provide! We hope that finances will not be something that prevents you from joining one of the ministries of Jubilee.

- If I want to teach a class at BREATHE Academy, how often do I have to teach?

We recommend classes to be taught twice a week for 1-2 hours. However, we want to welcome all teachers with all sorts of schedules to teach and give the most they can for God and for the younger musicians. You may choose the option to teach once a week or to teach master classes. If you really have the desire to teach and use your gifts to help others to honor God, we will
make a place for you!

- Can I participate in more than one of the ministries of Jubilee Missions? Will there be an extra membership fee?

Yes, of course you may! And NO, there isn’t an extra membership fee that you must pay. The membership fee is just a basic fee for all members. Donations are always welcome since operating in New York City is very costly. We definitely encourage you to check your schedule and make sure that you have enough time before you decide to commit to more than one ministry.
